Our Proud Heritage

In 1889, The Master Steam Fitters Association of Washington, DC started, with just six members, formed an association of responsible contractors and employers of skilled craftsmen in the construction industry. That Association evolved into the current organization – MCAMW.

Today, The MCAMW plays a significant role in the advancement of the construction industry in the Washington DC Metropolitan region. A strong commitment on education and training remains at the forefront of our mission. The MCAMW remains dedicated to our members, working alongside our labor union partners, by advocating on legislative issues impacting our stakeholders, and building a thriving community for all.
