21st Heats On Waters Off Program 2019

On Saturday, October 5, over 70 volunteers from Plumbers & Gasfitters Local 5 and Steamfitters Local 602 gave up their morning to service 21 homes in Prince George’s County. The kick-off breakfast began with a welcome from the MCAMW Service Bureau Chairman, Jerry Taylor with Boland, followed by several Maryland Dignitaries who were gracious to share a few words with our volunteers. Maryland Department’s of Labor’s Deputy Secretary David McGlone, Prince George’s County Executive Labor Liaison Tony Perez, Maryland State Senator Malcolm Augustine, Maryland State Senator Joanne C. Benson, Prince George’s County Fire Chief Ben Barksdale, Maryland Delegate of Prince George’s County Diana Fennell, Maryland Senator Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr., United Association International Representative Shawn Broderick, and Prince George’s County Department of Family Services Division Manager Theresa Grant – Thank you!
Heat’s On Water’s Off is a volunteer project that partners with the MCAMW Contractor Members, UA Local 5 & UA Local 602, Prince George’s County Department of Family Services Aging & Disabilities Services Division, and the Prince George’s County Fire Department to provide free HVAC and Plumbing repairs to the elderly or disabled individuals within the Prince George’s County Community.
