Virginia Tech students in the DC area for our annual VT to DC trip, and what an incredible experience it was! On Thursday, students toured Capital One Arena and Gallery Place with W.L. Gary and Clark Construction, attended our Membership Meeting, and wrapped up the evening at the Washington Wizards game where they had the opportunity to network with industry professionals. On Friday, the group visited the Poole & Kent data center and their Ashburn office, gaining firsthand insight into data center operations, what it takes to bring these facilities online, and how to strengthen their resumes as they prepare to enter the industry.
We also had the chance to take our student chapter members out on a Jeep tour through the Arizona desert, an unforgettable experience filled with great views, great conversations, and lasting memories.
Our GreatFutures Team has returned from Salt Lake City, UT with a greater vision and mission to win this year’s competition. Over three days, our team got to learn about the mountains of opportunity within the mechanical contracting industry.
