Contractor Summary: ACI is proud to be a union mechanical contractor specializing in commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-residential mechanical services.
Owner: Washington Suburban Sanitation Commission (WSSC)
Project: RGH Building HVAC Upgrades
Contract Amount: $2,238,000.00
Timeline: 2/1/2016 – 9/22/2017
Project overview: ACI was awarded the contract to upgrade the hydronic and ventilation systems at the RGH Building for WSSC. The RGH Building, “Big Blue”, is the location of WSSC’s headquarters. ACI installed multiple pumps, heat exchangers, solid separators, and exhaust fans as part of the retrofit to the cooling tower loops. The existing system had 3 separate tower loops. The new system consolidated the three loops into one combined loop. A complete controls upgrade was completed as well. This project had multiple phases and required the building to be operational for the duration of the project. With ACIs’ planning, preparation, and craftsmanship the project was completed with minimal delays.
