On Wednesday, March 27th, 2019, ninety industry professionals and government officials gathered at the Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville, MD to commemorate twenty years of providing mechanical and safety services to senior homeowners in Prince George’s County, MD.
At the breakfast ceremony, organizers presented awards to the numerous companies, organizations and municipal officials responsible for the workforce and financial support of the program.
Over the 20 years of community service, MCAMW/ Signatory Contractors, Apprentices & Journeymen of Plumbers & Gasfitters Local Union 5 & Steamfitters Local Union 602, United Association (UA) and Prince George’s County Department of Family Services/ Aging, Prince George’s County Fire Department joined forces to service the homes of the elderly in Prince George’s County.
In the two decades, 1,710 Local 5 and Local 602 apprentices and journeymen, 768 community members, and 573 participating contractors have contributed their time and skills to elevate the lives of 725 families in Prince George’s County.
Mechanical contractors and suppliers contributed over $1,000,000 in labor and materials for the comfort and safety of our most deserving elderly citizens.
